Guaranteed Software Updates Until2024-12-31 — DJI's own published commitment; this date has now passedag.dji.com

What these figures mean in practice

Our reading of the specifications above. These are not manufacturer claims — every number below is derived from the table, and the trade-offs are ours.

DJI's guaranteed software update window has already expired

The specification page states guaranteed software updates until 31 December 2024. That date has passed. It does not mean the aircraft stops working or that no further updates will come — only that DJI no longer commits to any. On a mapping platform whose value depends on processing-chain compatibility, that is a real consideration for a new purchase, and it is the sort of thing a spec sheet states once and nobody reads.

A different machine from everything else here

At 951 g against the T25's 32 kg, this is not a spraying aircraft with a camera bolted on — it is a survey tool. Forty-three minutes of flight, 32 km of range and 12 m/s wind resistance against the Agras line's 6 m/s. It gathers the data that tells a sprayer where to go; it does not do the spraying.

The four bands are the point, not the 20 MP camera

Green 560, Red 650, Red Edge 730 and NIR 860 nm, each 5 MP through a fixed f/2.0 lens, with a built-in sunlight sensor for irradiance correction. That combination is what makes NDVI, GNDVI and NDRE outputs comparable between flights. The 20 MP 4/3 RGB sensor alongside is for the visual orthomosaic; it is not what makes the aircraft agricultural.

RTK is one centimetre, and it needs the module

Fixed RTK gives 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal and 1.5 cm + 1 ppm vertical, and the 24 g module is what enables GLONASS as well. Without it, hovering accuracy falls to ±0.5 m horizontal on GNSS alone — a fiftyfold difference, and the reason the module is not really optional for repeat survey work.
