What these figures mean in practice

Our reading of the specifications above. These are not manufacturer claims — every number below is derived from the table, and the trade-offs are ours.

The tank empties faster than you would plan for

Forty litres at the full four-sprinkler rate of 24 L/min is dry in about one minute forty. Fit two sprinklers instead and the 16 L/min rate stretches that to roughly two and a half minutes. Either way the working day is set by refilling and battery swapping on the ground, not by anything the aircraft does in the air — which is why the charging figures matter as much as the flow rate, and why a second battery set is not really optional.

Charging is the real constraint, and it wants a generator

Each DB1560 pack holds 30 Ah at 52.22 V — a little over 1.5 kWh — and takes nine to twelve minutes to charge. Doing that in the field means the D12000iE generator and its 30 litres of unleaded. The C10000 mains supply reaches the same 9000 W only on a 220–240 V feed and drops to 3000 W on 100–120 V, so anyone costing this machine against North American single-phase power should price that difference in: it roughly triples the charge time.

Spray width is a range, not a number

The quoted 4–11 m is measured three metres above the crop. Treat the top of that range as a ceiling set by boom height and conditions rather than a working figure. Droplet size spans 50–500 μm, and the wide end of the swath is the fine end of the droplet spectrum — which is also the end that drifts. Maximum wind resistance is 6 m/s.

What the 92 kg and 103 kg figures assume

Both maximum takeoff weights are quoted at sea level, and density altitude reduces them, so an operator working elevated country is not flying to the numbers on the sheet. The airframe is 39.9 kg dry and 52 kg with a battery fitted, which leaves roughly 40 kg of spraying payload — matching the tank exactly, with nothing spare.
